Terrible customer service. Also old people get to jump the queue... If 100 old people come in then you will have to wait while all 100 get to go first, one at a time. You can't get served until every old person has finished, no matter how many hours after you they actually arrived. Unbelievably stupid system.

Good service. Stupidly expensive to send postcards to Canada. Over 11 soles per postcard. This probably ranks as one of the most expensive places to send postcards from in the world.

Besides the bureaucracy, which is expected at most institutions in Peru, Serpost is pretty decent. Good prices and my packages are successfully delivered internationally.

Being a foregeiner and now a citizen of Perú I work hard at putting in to the system which I so badly in need of help. Serpost was a great idea and started out on a good foot.
Unfortunately, Serpost now is demanding too much personal information to ship simple items. I can no longer recommend their services.
You'll be a lot better served using DHL.
I can't stress this enough, 6 years in Peru and I've never been so insulted as I have been at this location in Miraflores no have I ever been treated so poorly.
In the last two weeks, I've tried to send bought and paid for item's. They demanded to see the receipts, I've tried to send handmade items and they demanded personal in information they have no right to.
Warning DO NOT USE SERPOST, you're asking for more trouble than it's worth

Posting to Australia.
We used SerPost to post to Australia today. We recommend getting there early and factoring time in to go through the whole process. We got a quote from DHL and it was triple SerPost which was about 270 soles for 3.8kg. Bring with you sticky tape, the box you are putting it in (go to a supermarket and get one when they're unpacking on the shelves), bring your passport and a photocopy of your passport. You will have to fill out multiple forms that are in Spanish. The lady we had serve us was patient and lovely but it is a busy place and the process is far from efficient.
